i have had great results with plastidip on my old jk and current taco. wheels, badges, etc.

i just washed, wiped with alcohol and dipped according to the dipyourcar videos. the wheels stayed on the vehicle, plastic bags over the brakes. it was easy... sure, if you really looked, you could see that the inner barrels were not painted. For me, the juice wasn't worth the squeeze.

No issues with dip peeling due to washing or tire rotations at the tire shop. They were run for years without issue. I even dipped the front grill of my jeep jk and it held up great. Yes, plastidip is a 1/2 measure, but for the price and the effort it is well worth it.

That being said, when i found a great deal on wheels, i ditched the platidip sport wheels for 4runner Rock Warrior wheels and never looked back. I bought the used wheels for $500 with lugs, this made way more sense than spending about the same money to pc stock wheels.

Here is the finish product (Matte black)
I love how easy it is to clean powder coated wheels

I paid $350 for a set of 3,000 mile 3rd gen take-offs. Much better look and cheaper than powder coat.
