Well be careful, it is possible to have too much stud & you'll bottom the fastener instead of the seating surface. No bueno.

SPC , light racing. No other upper control arm offers a ball joint benefit and also the amount of adjustability and most importantly that positive caster. No other arm can equal the SPC in that area.

Wasn't there issues with the SPC moving during off roading at the recommending torque values?

I haven't heard of that problem, and I have not experienced it myself and I've been using SPC arms since 2005. I do alignments and in my experience SPC has been great to deal with.

so i installed 1.5” spacer in front and 1” spacer in the back on my regular cab 4 months ago and running 285/70/17’s. took it for an alignment and they told me something about aftermarket control arms which would fix my alignment since they got it as close as they could.. true?

You are correct. I installed Bilstein 6112 strut and springs with a 2 inch lift and I'm running 265/70/17's on my 14 Tacoma. When I had it aligned they told me they were able to align it within specs but barely. They said they like to get it to 0 degrees or very close on the camber and couldn't with my new set up. They said it would feel like my truck was "floating" or I was "driving on marbles." It wouldn't feel as tight or have the steering control I had before. And that's exactly how it is. They advised me to buy after market adjustable UCA's. SPC was the only manufacturer of note that I could find that sold them. Well be purchasing a pair shortly.

I talked to the TC guy about this , but I don’t know why TC uses a misalignment spacer on the top of the uniball. The pivot is a single sheer. Also it doesn’t look as nice using that regular old hex bolt vs a sexy 12 point head bolt. The only reason I went camburg UCA was for This reason (and they use a 1.25” uniball, less chance of bind). I mean come on , I can build upper arms and just use some generic FK uniball kit plus a Home Depot grade 8 hex bolt. What I can’t do as easily is machine counter sunk top misaligned spacer and 12-point bolt. Another contender in the looks department is the Icon billet UCA with heim adjustable pivots in place of the cheap ass poly bushings. I’m sure 99% ppl don’t consider the looks or even appreciated the fabrication/engineering that goes into it so who cares I guess (it works just as well)

What's the warranty on those Camburg UCA? Will they stand behind their own products?

I’m sure they would replace anything that’s defective. They are very well known in the dez race/prerunner world. they build trophy trucks so I guess they know a bit about fabrication. If you mean wear and tear I don’t think they guarantee that at all. I would probably not run them if I lived in a place with lots of mud , water or salt.

This is what I found on Camburg "Due to the extreme and punishing nature of off road use, Camburg Engineering products have no implied or expressed warranty." doesn't sound too confident on their products. On the other hand JBA got this "JBA has a lifetime warranty on the structural integrity of our UCAs. One year warranty on ball joints and bushings".

Currently running Camburg but my next set going to be JBA.
