Get the Trail Edition. It's a SR5, with the limmited grill, dark TRD OR wheels, no scoop, and no leather. It can also be had in army green.

So you over loaded your truck by 1750 lbs, nice, 200% overloaded. Pure safety thinking here.

They’re both about the same mechanically. I believe the base premium Sport does not include the camera system where the Limited does (at least in my Toyota region). Where the sport premium and limited differ is the exterior. Personally I like the sport better since it doesn’t have the goofy looking chrome pieces but it’s whatever you’d prefer. Oh and I believe the Limited does come with the tonneau cover from the factory

    Working on it ...
I was on the highway and thought I really should keep this between 50 & 60 mph. Couple times I forgot the load was even back there and looked down to see I was doing 70-75  There was no swerve or mushiness in the ride. Hauled it all like a champ. Used ECT but not even sure it was required. Ran two loads, but other load was 2500+ lbs.

I am not saying to haul these type loads every day. But when I need it to do it, it does it.

Here is a Sideview of the truck with the load in the bed - 2800 lbs

Even if I had that kind of money, no way I'd blow 100k on a vehicle! My OCD is bad enough with the tacoma trying to keep the seats clean and no door dings, I can't even imagine what kind of stress owning a 100k Mercedes, I'd probably just leave it in the garage all the time and look at it, lol!

You are correct. Almost as if you'll need to have an Off-road model to be considered part of Tacoma World.

nope, all the taco trims sit at the same ride height except the Pro, which has a + 1” lift

My dream car is a 911 Turbo S and I sure wouldn't leave it in garage to look at LOL

I think new they are close to $200K but have seen used 2014/15 for close to 100K

I'm OCD as well and I would just get the full body PP which actually does work as I have it on my Rogue and intend to get it on my Tacoma when I get my new hood next week.

I was just stirring the pot . But for real, Toyota charges insane mark ups for trim packages that don’t truly offer a whole heck of a lot. If you just need towing and a bed, the SR is the truck to have, it comes stock with color matched bumpers, mirrors, and door handles. Stock with touch screen, apple play, radar cruise control and the lane departure tech.

I just picked up a 2021 SR 4x4 double cab for $30,500. Kings, Deavers, TC UCAs, gears, and a locker are ready to go in. If you plan on ever modding you’re truck in the future, just start cheap my friends!

I will be using my 2020 sport with long bed for the same task in the coming weeks after christmas as I will be changing all the flooring in my house, is good to know it will handle the load.

Yes, it’s true. Unfortunately this is the type that will be doing all the dropping...

Who told you that was 2800lbs?

A solid chunk of oak the dimensions of a tacoma long bed would weigh about 2300lbs, so unless you have some steel plate hidden under that flooring I think you may be off a touch.

I got the sport with the premium and advanced tech packages and love it. One other thing to consider is which one you can find in stock. Availability is somewhat limited on certain trims/packages right now. Good luck on your decision!
