ECU TSB Update

Move the desktop to the truck. Use an extension cord for power. Yes it’s sucks. Otherwise buy a laptop

highly unlikely it works over an extension that long.

 

Because the computer is inside my office, it’s the only one I have. I could probably go 2 feet shorter if I have to stay under or at 16ft but finding a 10ft today might not happen haha.

 

I’ll probably just buy a laptop, I’ve needed one for a while just been lagging.

 

Good reason to get a laptop for sure, but there are other options for only $20 if that fits your needs better:

To get around the total 16ft limit of USB 2.0 for $20, you can buy an active USB cable extension. It's essentially a USB hub built-in into a 16ft cable and functions as a repeater.

An OBD extension cable, 16ft for $20 as well. They are essentially two sets of computer network cables extending the 16 OBD pins.

Correct. That is the most recent calibration for that ecu.

just updated to 04B14 successfully. Now waiting for 04b14 tune pack from @OVTune . Anyone have any 04b14 2016 M/T tunes they want to share in the mean time? I've got premium fuel in the tank..

 

No issues with TS this morning. Worked great, as usual.

 

Mine was the usb extension cable.

How can I find out what ECU version is currently installed? Is there menu options or would I need the TechStream progeam?

 

OBD code reader, free loan at any auto parts store, can check the engine calibration code for you. It will be under vehicle information. It's not a common function, so don't be surprised if the store doesn't think it can read that.
