Now youve got me thinking. I always turn the throttle limits up on my 4LO and assumed it used the same maps as 2HI other than that. Now I am wondering if 4LO uses different maps entirely from 2HI.

He had considered it before but didn't really have a way to let it switch maps.

Yes, I know. The cruise control buttons are the only available user inputs to the ECM.

There will be Map switch / Channel options for MT as well.

This update, and new files, will be released next year with our big software update.

Anybody know if there’s any negatives to increasing the 4 Control and Expected airload tables. I’m talking like a 5%-10% increase. I tried it on the 5.5 tune that I was running a while back but now I’m running a M&W version so I haven’t messed with those since. Just wasn’t sure if there would be any negatives long term with running those tables increased.
I feel like when I was running them raised 10% of increased throttle response but that could’ve been my throttle settings.

it will release with our new version of vF Tuner. A substantial update.
    - EROM patch (as shown above) for the tacoma
    - a lot more tables (about 100+ more coming)
    - additional alternator controls
    - cruise control tables
    - throttle control tables (MT)
    - Airflow control decelerations tables (MT, "rev hang")
    - Full TCU file support (solenoid pressers, shift timing, etc)

All releases with the upcoming vF tuner early next year when our new software / licensing releases.

    okay happy holidays everyone!

Did this in @Mooseditty17 3.1 tune and it fixed the driveline clunk that I have had since the truck was new. Thanks for finding this @ForceOfG

Took the plunge and did the TSB from 04B31 to 04B33

Drives good. Definitely much better than the 31. With 5.29 and 35’s.

But after 20 miles I’m ready to get rid of this CEL (dump tubes) and get the voltage back up with the AGM update.

I have 33’s and it’s still definitely a noticeable improvement. I’ll never forget the feel of the original stock tune. I’ve never driven a vehicle that felt so wrong. Just never felt ‘right’ and the lunging and insanely busy shifting dancing up and down the gears on slight inclines.

    @OneRepublic

DM @uploadadventure and think about TSB or to stay with your current ECU. Not sure what the TSB provides but he can let you know.

And hopefully hook you up with tune(s) matching your ecu and mods (tires, gears,....).

The only way I’d say to not to the TSB (so far) is if you have the dump tubes (cel)
Otherwise it feels pretty good, and I immediately got a bump on MPG’s.

    Happy Holidays!

For existing customers with VFTune and a tune pack for 1 (or more) ECU versions, will we get access to the updated software and tunes for already purchased ECUs? Or will there be an upgrade fee?

Happy Holidays! My understanding is the updates are free and will be available sometime in the New Year. Also any new changes to the vftune software will be able to be downloaded from the ovtune web site.

Better than the ovtune on B31? I’m looking forward to trying the TSB and the B33 tune. Just waiting on purchased credits to reflect on vftuner to unlock the new B33 ecu. and I’ll have some feedback.

TSB is pretty good. I’m happy with the way the truck drives so far.

What I don’t like is not having my AGM battery charging correctly. And my CEL from the O2 sensors cause of the dump tubes.

To be clear, are you modifying the “Acceleration Shifting” 1-2 and 2-3 downshift? My MD 3.1 already had “Primary Shifting” 1-2 and 2-3 downshift separated by 6 mph/kph (whatever the axis is). My Acc Shift tables are not separated for 1-2 and 2-3 downshifts.
