1st Gen Lunchtable Thread - General Discussion

Well fuck. No furnace, no water heater, the fucking gas meter is dead and fucking nipsco can’t make it out today! I said fuck you guys I’ll fucking fix it if you don’t send someone out it’s fucking 8 degrees outside. Needless to say someone’s suppose to come out and I’m “ruining” someone’s Christmas... shitty yes, but I don’t want to freeze because of shitty meters!

 

Good thing it’s Christmas Eve not Day

 

Either way when you have a meter on the fritz it’s suppose to be a major issue get someone out quick.

 

Give em a hot coffee, six pack of beer, and a discount on their next oil change. They will appreciate it

 

Get a wood burning stove

 

My neighbor gets those shit on call jobs all the time. Ironically he is the one giving me beer for flipping up his wipers or brushing the snow off his truck.

If I go out to do mine I usually do his. He works 6+ days a week and has to drive all over God's green earth. Last time he brought me beer he was super grateful because I had flipped his wipers up and brushed most of the snow off around midnight. He got a 3am emergency call and had to drive to mid KS and fix some shit then drive home... On a Saturday

 

Burn house down and be warm for the rest of your life

 

we've got 2 fire places. but the house is too big to sufficiently heat with just that. Everything is getting overrun with gas which means the regulator isn't working right. this is how big booms happen. luckily i can shut off the gas in the house easily. so till its fixed. ive got nothing. street level is 40 psi. i think were suppose to be around 2 in house..

 

steel framed houses dont burn as long. LOL

 

when the generator was test cycling and back firing, i knew something was wrong.. then the furnace kept going into lockout mode.. and the oven was acting funny... yea.. somethings wrong lol

i mean.. my house i can weld my cars to the wall so they cant get stolen

 

Who would steal an old mercedes that doesn't run or an unfinished Tacoma?

i actually just got off the phone with the guy theyre sending. theyre coming with a whole new meter. said it'll take a litte bit. but be less involved than actually figuring out the root of the problem. lol w/e just come fix it and i'll give you a tip and alcohol
