Hope I'm posting this in the correct spot, I figured someone here would know. I have a 2019 TRD Pro with the fox suspension. I've been looking to get an aftermarket bumper like the C4 hybrid or something similar. I think its about 125-200lbs. Would this overwhelm my front suspension? Not sure I feel like replacing the whole suspension just for a bumper.

If it is too much, what options would I have that keep the original suspension if it is possible. Thanks.

If anything you’d just have to get a heavier spring rate to accommodate the added weight. I forgot what the spring rate is for the coils but I do know they’re kinda short in length

You’d have to have the coilover disassembled to change the spring of course but you can re-use the struts. You just have to find new coils with the proper measurements

ahh gotcha. Was looking at the Wescott kit but thats not going to change the spring rate. But could possibly add some lift while everything is apart.

you def will want upgraded springs. if you get a steel bumper and a winch 700lb will be in your future.

Thanks guys. I think this is just the info I was looking for. If anyone has a spring recommendation I'm all ears. I'll see if I can find some springs

I got the Relentless Fabrication stinger (80 lbs) bumper + bog skid plate (25 lbs) and it drags my stock trd front end downward a little. I can still manage driving on the road. But I definitely need aftermarket shocks

I was in the same boat, but ultimately decided to ditch the stock setup. Very interested in learning about what Eibach comes out with!

Yes. Especially if you run a winch. I ended up dumping my FOX TRD PRO suspension and upgrading to Icons with heavier front springs (victory bumper + Xeon winch)There are quite a few very good options for aftermarket suspension. I chose icon only because I’ve run them on 2 previous FJ’s (still own one of them) and they have served me well.

I ended up selling my Pro suspension to someone who wanted to upgrade and was leaving their rig pretty stock. The TRD PRO suspension sell pretty
