    Merry Christmas Everyone !!!

Really glad I cleared the 2" of heavy sleet and slush off the vehicles, trailer and carport before going to bed last night at 1am, woke up this morning at 4am to clear another 3-4" of fine powder snow off the carport. I'll wait until later this morning to get the the vehicles, trailer and shoveling. Whoever wished for a white Christmas in Pittsburgh got it. LOL The snow is still coming down fast. Be safe out there people, they've been plowing nonstop all night but the main Snow Emergency Route right in front of my house barely looks like one lane has been touched.

    Merry Christmas fellow Pennsyltuckyvanians!!!

That wind last night was wicked!! Blew like crazy and then just seemed to stop somewhere around 3 AM. Literally just stopped. I'll head out once it's light to see if we had any trees fall on our road. I can hear the stream on our property roaring, too. Lots of rain and snow melt.

We normally put up an old artificial tree in our dining room and then also get a 10 to 12 ft real tree for the Great Room. We didn't want to get it before we went to Florida. By the time we got home, self-quarantined, took the Covid test and got the results, all of the large trees were gone and our normal tree farm where we buy was closed. Tree shortage this year apparently. So, yesterday, Lynn went out and cut some pine boughs and we made our 2020 Christmas tree for the Great Room. Actually, pretty appropriate for this year.

    2020Christmas Tree 1.jpg 2020Christmas Tree 2.jpg

Despite all the challenges of this year, we are blessed with health, happiness, family and wonderful friends. Thanks to you all for letting me be a part of this great group. Merry Christmas to you all!!

Merry Christmas morn to all. I just got done shoveling the walk ways and deck. We have almost 5 inches and it is still falling lightly. The snow on top is light and fluffy. At its base it is more hard ice crystals, likely a result of the change over last night. The wind is still blowing. It is 18 degrees with a wind chill of 5 degrees.

Morning and Merry Christmas to all!

We escaped most of the snow, only a dusting, but we got about 2" of rain. It's in the 20's so it's frozen solid right now!

hahah, yea, I'm not sure of the history on it and why it's wrapped in the bread. But who am I to break to tradition...I eat everything, in any combination, that's put in front of me.

I’m at my parents in Greensburg. Looks like we got maybe 3”. It’s still snowing here. I hope the turnpike is clear on the mountain as we are headed home in an hour to see what Santa delivered for the kid at our house. I’m driving from a winter warning to a flood warning.
