Installed the straight snow performance nozzle holder (sno-810-qc) and got it all glued in. The nozzle is able to protrude out a little so it think it is going to work good vs their standard nozzle holder.

Also did some driving with the stock 2.375” catback and compared it to the 2.5” I reinstalled today. It feels like the truck really gets going better in the part-moderate throttle driving situations with the free-flowing catback vs the stock one. I also reclamped everything which sorted some exhaust leaks and cut the end off at an angle for the tail pipe. Trailer hitch can be reinstalled finally so I’ll probably try to do that over the next couple of days.

Also got this installed and wired to the radio. Found it on aliexpress here. The old aux plug was starting to act up so used this as an opportunity to upgrade with a USB too

Got the Vibrant vacuum manifold installed and hooked up today. It really cleaned up things nicely! Had to drill a couple holes in the firewall and make two 90 degree brackets out of aluminum to push the bottom of the manifold out but other than that it went together pretty smoothly. Still need one more piece of bigger vac tubing but I’ll have to get that another day. Merry Christmas yall:cheers:

Had a short in the brake/tail lights today. I first noticed it when i would press the brakes and the right blinker would come on. Turns out the wire running from driver to passenger side on my curt 4 pin harness rubbed on the bumper until it was bare, then proceeded to melt the license plate light and holder, and some of the harness on that side. I'll have to take that stuff apart and try to clean it up tomorrow to assess the damage. Typical screw up on my part, didn't run the wire in the right area and murphy finally paid me a visit :(

I hope so! The wires for the license plate light are bare in a couple places on the pass side from melting. I hope it didnt make it much further up the harness than that. I also wonder why it didnt blow the fuse and just melted everything instead. That's a little disappointing

Passed the 275k mark on my way to Austin the other morning! Been doing a few little things to the truck lately but nothing too big. Got the Toyota cruise control cover installed but I'm still doing some trouble shooting on the CC system. The light wont come on and after checking the voltages at the S8 connector at the clock spring, i have 12v to the plug but when using the switch the voltages aren't changing, so i ordered another switch today. Hopefully i'll have cruise after swapping those out. I tore the truck all apart yesterday and verified i have wiring at the cluster, the clutch switch, clock spring, and ECU so after checking that and the fact that i have 12v at the spiral cable makes me pretty confident the truck is prewired and i just have a faulty switch. This would also explain why the light doesnt come on in the gauge cluster.

The other job i did that required some disassembly was adding the microphone for the bluetooth on the aftermarket head unit. I opted to run it from the overhead console on the driver side. Not a difficult job, just time consuming to run the wiring from the headliner down to behind the stereo. Also finally swapped out the feed for the vacuum manifold for some 1/4" tubing since the piece i had was 1/8" and was two pieces spliced together.

I did some troubleshooting on why my passenger side license plate light holder was melted and i determined that the exhaust exit was too high and didnt allow the gases to escape from under the bed. That combined with sustained driving at 3400 rpms on the hwy at high load for long periods of time and the harness back there melted pretty good along with all the clips for the bumper plastic cover pieces. I fixed the wiring ordered another license plate light holder. But now it's back to the drawing board on what to do with the exhaust. I threw the stock catback back on but i want to make the 2.5" catback work. I have been thinking about just adding a turn-down tip but im not sure if that's enough.

I'll have to check what my wiring situation is looking like back under my bed... PO put in a 2.5 inch exhaust (at least) and with how low this truck is, I'd assume I'll have the same issue

Yeah it'd be a good idea to check it out before it causes you trouble. I was surprised it cooked mine after just a few hrs on the hwy

Well I don't have the added heat of FI yet, but that 9 hour drive home with it at 3k give or take probably didn't do it any favors
