OP, I am in the same dilemma. Just sold my 2010 TRD OR in an access cab with a manual transmission. Loved it, but wife and grown daughters appreciate seats and doors that fit them.

Still looking at SR5s v ORs. Sports aren't them numerous around here in new cars. In used cars, lots of Sport models.

Here's my two cents: Figure out what features you must have. With that, create a budget. Test drive the models, even if you're not buying that particular truck. You want to know how the rig handles. See what trucks are available that meet your budget. Stick to your budget and see who will sell you what you can afford. I repeat--stick with your budget--your only friend when you get to the dealership. Then, make your choice and don't regret that you bought the features you could afford instead of spending money on a truck you won't use.

I am biased towards the MT but l still think it is a better match to the 3.5 versus the AT.

Im biased too, but IMHO 4.30 gearing is a better match for this 3.5L. It makes most of its power at higher RPMs so it makes perfect sense.

Agreed, you can get to the powerband a little quicker making the drive more enjoyable!

@Pablo8 has 4.88 rear end and SFOB tune, imagine that! Haha.

With stock gearing first gear is very torquey and low, i noticed that right away on the test drive.

Yeah, with the SFOB tune and stock gears the first gear is insane. I cant even imagine 4.88s haha.

I think 1st gear gets going pretty good stock too, with 4.88's it has to be cooking!
