Noticed the beer nerd thread and thought I would start a thread for the wine drinkers.

Even though beer is my preferred poison, I switch to vino every now and then. Would like to find some new brands to try.

Currently sipping on Bogle Vineyard's Old Vine Zinfandel from Costco.

Yum, believe it or not costco is actually decent when it comes to their wine and beer...

I just can't get into wine, I guess I don't mind moscato or the really sweet stuff that don't taste like wine at all..
Actually, I didn't mind Unruly's White Wine at all come to think of it.

MT stuff, RTT stuff, the usual.
Been drinking this stuff called carnivor lately.

ETA: it's a Cabernet sauvignon. I'm not a wine snob and don't know all the ins and outs, buts I know what I like: cabs, merlots, sometimes a red blend or Pinot noir. I don't drink whites.

    Stock photo added.

Costco has the best prices around, and their kirkland signature stuff is pretty good as well. Trader Joe's has some good prices as well.

I've had the unruly red which was pretty good. Have you ever had riesling? The Chateau St. Michelle riesling is pretty good, and cheap too (around $6).

I only drink whites with the ol' lady, and the riesling I mentioned above is by far her favorite.

I've found I am partial to zins and whatever is in a "California red table wine."

I like to drink Shiraz from Lindeman's or Penfold's.

I also enjoy a good Australian Port Wine or a nice Cognac.

Uh oh... Are we are talking about Costco wines :anonymous: :D

I’d recommend “7 Deadly Zins”. Got it off the shelf the other day. It’s about ~$11 and was great as a table red during dinner.

The wife and I are members with Walla Walla Vintners, Cascade Cliffs, Prohibition, and Quilceda Creek, so most of our wines come from those wineries. Last night we had an unoaked chardonnay from Prohibition.

I highly recommend checking Prohibition. Very small winery that opened its tasting room in February just before COVID closed everything. It's a family operated winery that make solid wines.

Since it’s so popular I thought I’d resurrect this thread. Drinking a ‘96 BV Rutherford and it’s quite good.
