    Hey everyone,
First off thank you for having me here. I just bought my first Tacoma in September and since had a few mods done already. But now I’m looking to get bigger wheels and would like some help. The wheels I want are 17x9 with a -18 off set and 285/70/17 tires, I currently have a 3” lift kit but wanted to know if I’ll rub or need a CMC done (which I’m trying to avoid). Thank you in advance.

Also here’s a pic of my truck

    So I’m assuming 0 offset with 285/70/17 wouldn’t need a cmc?

I’m honestly trying to avoid that lol. How much would it cost to get a CMC done?

    Buy these https://www.bayareametalfab.com/CMC-Cab-Mount-Chop-Brackets_p_15.html
And then get your local shop to weld them on. My area its 200 in labor to get this done.

Or find a guy on TW in your local area that will do it for a case of beer

I have 33's on 17s with a -12 offset and I can most certainly guarantee you will need a CMC, pinch weld fold and probably some light trimming of the fender and wheel well liner.

I did my own but they're getting $200-$250 at the shops in my area

You could keep the wheels you have (or ones with the same specs) and use a 255 80 17 tire

It will be a full 33" and not have any rubbing issues. In actually would have worked with no lift at all.
