    Hi,

I've recently purchased a 2002 Tacoma 4x 2 Prerunner from an elderly neighbor. Her father died and left the truck to her. It sat for almost 3 years in her backyard. It only has 78K miles on the truck. It ran well for a couple of weeks, but then threw a rod through the oil pan. I figure it is easier and quicker to buy a replacement engine than try to fix the current one. So if anyone can give me some advice, I'm all ears!

Best bet is going to be calling junk yards in Arizona New Mexico Texas or southern California. Someplace where corrosion hasn't completely destroyed first gen pickups.
