even though shes been banned, is she able to log on as a guest or anything and read these responses and complaints? She has to care about her reputation, doesnt she? I wonder if she has any friends who are telling her "wow, you should read what the TW members are saying about you".

 

I hope she does. Everything I've typed has been with the hope that she'd read it. Again... I used to defend this operation, but clearly her business skills are lacking and she's made a mess of it.

 

yeah, I'm trying to be nice. I need my upper bolt cover and she hasnt responded to any of my emails. I have been very nice in my emails, dont even really know if shes read them. I may have to try and trade with another member.

 

ktjo doesn't read TW but is aware of the unrest because of the complaints going to her by email & text. I think that she believes it will be all good once everyone has their grab handle.

 

I think that's what bothers me the most. I don't care if I don't get the handle for another month or two... but ignoring the people that backed your project is poor form. I ordered over 6 months ago, I think I'm due an explanation for why someone that bought last week, already has theirs.

 

Nope! I'd never buy something from her again. Nor would I recommend anyone buys her products. She may think that she's satisfying her base, but I think she's severely burnt that bridge.

Mind you, I'm not a 1st time KTJO buyer. I have the OEM red start button and the tailgate pop n' lock... although I swapped the KTJO pop n' lock for the OEM version.

 

you know, it also bothered me that I ordered mine in Nov of 2020 and got it in Dec of 2020. Even though I wanted this handle, I didnt think it was fair that I got mine so quickly. I truly expected to get mine in Jan of 2021, after the preorders were filled. Thats how it should have been done.

 

Meh... get while the getting is good. That's not your burden. But I would definitely think about this before you buy your next KT product.

 

That’s where I’m at as well. I’ve asked for a bit of an explanation 6 different ways from Sunday but to no avail. She has never answered the particular question I’ve asked and that frustrates me to no end.

 

I ordered over a year ago. Last November and still nothing. I replied asking to cancel and just refunds so over it

 

Got a request to pay shipping. I recall when I pre-ordered a year ago that shipping was included. Did this happen to any one else? Sorry if this has already been covered

I ordered mine months ago...........and I've received no correspondence since the address verification email. I think she must have gotten in a bit over her head on this. I hope mine shows up sometime and it is worth keeping.
I do think she should do something to at least try to make things "right" with those who have basically funded this entire grab handle venture with paid pre-orders. If she doesn't, I'm sure she risks being able to do do anything like this in the future at all. Rear passenger grab handles - magic 8 ball says not happening unless trust is somehow restored............ Why would anyone pre-order anything if they pay in full early and don't even get the product first? Everyone will just wait till they are in stock to make their purchase..........which means no one will fund the R&D part of the project..............which means it probably just won't happen. It's too bad really as there seems to be a real demand for items like this.

 

Just a note, but I believe the rear handle design is in work, if not the molds? I can't find what I remember on FB, maybe some other BS social media outlet? This was the last post on FB:

On my side, still radio silence on the top cover. Looks like shit seeing the inner handle staring at me.

Also, I didn't get around to 'adjusting' the installation. Was being lazy over the past few days.

 

I'm not so sure about that prediction on the rear passenger grab handles. We here on TW are only a teensy-weensy percentage of the Tacoma owner base. Who knows... if I actually ever put PEOPLE in my back seat, and ever took it seriously off-road, I might be up for a set once shipping and installation was confirmed. I won't out of principle at this point pre-order anything from her.

I pre-ordered on the website, got my shipping confirmation late last night.

 

But I will say, those rear grab handles do look pretty slick!

 

How could it go wrong? Lemme count the ways.


Seriously though. The handle and trim are not simple parts, but the right hand parts and left hand trim were there. Working from example is my jam. So, I ass-u-me'ed that the mod was good and baked.
