Rear brake bleed

I know how to bleed brakes. That’s not the question. Question is, truck running or not? I replaced my rear housing and disconnected the brake lines. I’ve bled both ways, running and not running. Still not getting a pedal. I did not take the drums off, pulled the axles with the brake connected. 05 prerunner, abs. TIA

 

You should not need the truck running. You must still have air in the system if the pedal is still soft. Did you bleed the load sensing proportioning valve? There could easily be a bubble up there.
I use a pressure power bleeder to make it a snap, but you should still be able to bleed old school.
