Oh man, that's a bummer. I hope it's not a season ending injury. Get well soon!

A lot of the snow has melted at Mammoth, but it looks like they got a good helping of some fresh last night.

Decided to go topless this weekend

Also, last day before blackout dates for IKON base is 12/25. Looks like Bear will have good conditions on Christmas day if anyone's looking to get out

Mostly electrical shit that nobody cares about.
Cool thread, guys. I'm on the east so my closest mountains are Stratton and Killington. Last winter I drove to Snowshoe and camped in the back seat; not really about pitching a tent when it's 5°F outside. Nice to meet you all!

I'm also down for future trips! I drive up to mammoth 2-3 times a month from Los Angeles. Usually sleep in my camper shell.
Have a split board too so I'm slowly getting into the backcountry stuff

Welcome to the thread. Spent two seasons skiing on the north east. I believe I took this pic in Killington during a pretty epic season.

Mammoth last weekend was phenomenal. Windy Friday, Spring skiing Saturday and 4 inches of fresh pow Saturday morning! Ended up camping by the hot springs. Sounds like the airport allows overnight parking and also Mammoth scenic loop has some spots to pull off for the night. I also found forestry land campground at the junction of 395 and MSL, however got pretty close to getting stuck in the packed down snow from some snowmobile action. Ironically on google maps there is a "Tacomaworld campsite" within or nearby the campground. Check out the sunrise and subsequent rainbow on Sunday morning during the snowstorm on the mountain.
