And in other news, I cannot wait for my new suspension for the cruiser. I am currently beating the old suspension and my back and kidneys into the ground.

When does it arrive? Did you decide on a spring supplier?

The bushings and new bolts (well all but two of them) come in from Dubai on Thursday, the other two come in whenever McGeorge finds them laying around a warehouse. I went with the Dobinsons comfort stock springs. I put myself in a weird place by having a stock weight cruiser. The lack of weight makes it hard to find any springs. Dobby are the only ones offering variable (progressive) coils for stock height on an 80. Should ride like a comfy wagon which is what I was after. I got a new intake tube as well since mine was hard as a rock and I'm just asking for it to rip one of these cold days. Can't beat those Dubai prices. I just have to wait until mid Feb for my front coils since they have to get a new pallet from Aussieland.

Good choices there bud. I can't understand why the Dobby springs ride so nice. I see people talking about other HD springs riding like hell. Maybe I have the right amount of rake and the front is doing all of the work. I wound up with a 3.5-inch lift in the rear. Though I planned to have roughly 350 to 400 lbs to add to the rear that should settle the rear down somewhat.

I get it, she won't even fit in my truck anymore unless I put her car seat in the front w/the airbag off. But in general it just doesn't feel very 'safe' so we take my wife's Rav4 when we have to go somewhere together.

Yeah we used to get carted around in my aunts old station wagon in the late 80s that had those side facing bench seats in the back, no seat belts

I remember my parents would also remove the middle seats from our Aerostar van in the 90s, leaving a big open area for us 3 kids to play in while on road trips lol.

He also got a small VHS battery operated tv that he strapped to the center console facing us, so we could watch movies. To this day my dad claims he invented TVs in cars

    PSA for the day:

I thought it was a silly gimmick but have been paying for pet insurance for the missus 6yr old cat (maybe he's 7?). He had to to be put under and intubated for oral surgery yesterday and thank goodness we have that insurance because the reimbursement we'll get for that procedure will pay for another 18months of insurance

    Fuck vet's are expensive!

But on a positive note he's in good health and happy to be given the luxury wet food compared to his dry crunchies20201229_114208.jpg

Vets are crazy expensive, we don't have insurance for our indoor cats but when my wife's cat had to get all sorts of emergency tests done last year, only to be put down after paying for them, we started to wonder if maybe we should get it.

If I had a dog I definitely would just because they're outside and more social and all that.

The worst part that makes vets so expensive is that an animal can't tell you what's wrong, so a lot of it is just a 'best guess' kind of thing and paying for expensive tests to determine.

Glad to hear he's feeling better!
