    How you go in to install them is pretty much personal preference. On my 2nd gen truck, going in from underneath and pulling two bolts (on each side) to pull the inner fender liner back is the way I prefer to go. I've been through 5 sets of fogs as @crashnburn80 keeps finding better ones for me to buy and I've got a complete fog light swap down to about 20 minutes. On a 3rd gen truck, going in through the top might actually work better. Pulling the grill just gives you better access to everything.
