Yeah, I'd check your iPhone settings and cable. After that, if no luck, then I'd try resetting the memory of the headunit.

So I tried to go back to the factory settings, it allowed me to but the phone still doesn’t connect. Weird. My DTC are showing incomplete, I’m guessing that disconnecting the battery makes that show incomplete until I’ve driven the truck more.

Yes. The readiness codes take a certain drive cycle to complete.

Did you remove both terminals and touch both together?

I've seen double failures in the past, but not like this.

I'm not an Apple person and have not used the USB connection for music. Hopefully, someone jumps in here and has a better idea?

The only other thing that comes to mind is that your phone may have had an update recently that broke something.

Try uninstalling and reinstalling the entune app on your phone or at least clearing the cache. I'm also not an apple person, so I'm not sure how you do that on an i device.

Try deleting the pairing between you phone and radio and then reconnecting.

Also try turning off bluetooth on the phone while connected with the USB.

Have you tried playing music off of a usb thumbdrive? I'm curious if that would also not work now.

I usually stream music through bluetooth or the Alexa in entune, but I also have a small 128gb drive that I keep plugged in my usb slot for music when I'm out of range. It practically disappears behind the little rubber flap.

People actually use the entune app?

So i'm trying to update my 2018 OR with the T-0036-18 CUW file and I get to this point in the process. I have two choices for the Tactrix with one being a 64bit. I have a Ctek batt tender on my AGM at full charge, i've tried with different Anker cables. My guess is it's a driver issue, but has anyone come across this error? Connection Error.jpg

Did you do the vim select in TS after installation?

Your ignition should On without the engine running. Two pushes of the PTS button.

Yes sir, ignition is on, two start button pushes in. I've uninstalled the USB drivers/device through device manager and reinstalled to no avail. But I do get the two choices for the OpenPort in the VIM one being a 64bit version. Neither work.

I'm not sure why you would get two OpenPort choices. I have the typical two for the OE adapter and the OpenPort.

This is not a battery voltage problem, but that the voltage isn't being properly read at or after the OBD port.

I saw a previous poster on page 190 or so with the same year model and same result. But he said he was able to update a different truck using the same computer and port, just not the 2018. Just throwing this same hurdle back into the mix for discussion.

Have you disconnected the battery tender? Could be freaking out if it’s seeing too much voltage. As long as your battery is over 12v you’ll be fine

Did that person post a resolution?

I've updated three 2018s with no trouble, but my setup is likely different than yours.
