Is anyone familiar with this clockspring/spiral cable?

So I went to install a new horn today, and it didn't work. I hooked the old horns up, and they don't work either. I don't remember if they did before but I'm pretty sure they did...

I also noticed the other day my cruise control works. I can turn it on, and it the light on my dash comes on, but it won't hold speed. At first I thought that was user error, but now I think it might be this clockspring/spiral cable.

I don't have an airbag lights though, which I thought was a symptom of this clockspring nonsense.

    Any ideas guys?

Horn can be caused by the spring. You might be thinking of the recall for the clockspring which was done b/c the original one could potentially fire the airbag. This would also affect the cruise control

Hey! I appreciate the post but you can ignore me. My horns just seems to be bad and I think I don't know how to use CC.

My actual horns seem to be bad, replaced with my new air horn and everything works now. Hilariously

Check your VIN though it could be under that recall.

Cruise..after you turn it on and see the light, get up to your speed then I believe down on the stalk for a couple of seconds to set. It will have a second dash light indicating it's been set

Well 2020 sucked for many reasons but there were still some positive things that happened.
Just remember it could have been worse!
Let's get 2021 off on a good note and keep it rolling.
Here are some good times I had in 2020KIMG0842.jpg
    Got my new dog SkyeKIMG0866.jpg
    KIMG0888.jpg KIMG0931.jpg
Cut down all the precarious dead trees around my house that those dam gypsy moths destroyed.KIMG0951.jpg KIMG0972~2.jpg
2 man army decimating 10 80' oak trees in 4.5 days! We had a blast:thumbsup:

    KIMG0988.jpg KIMG1112.jpg
Chilling with my help on continuing to clear my yard of cut down trees 3 months laterKIMG1122.jpg KIMG1167.jpg
Just when I get the yard cleared of all the debris, mother nature decides that I'm not done yet and slaps me with a nasty wind storm:rofl:

At least the tree didn't land on the truck!

    KIMG1171.jpg KIMG1178.jpg
Using free water for all the new grass seed I needed to plant.

Happy new year Ct and beyond- from Mike and the fam in Collinsville.

Man has it been a year. To me, most importantly, 2020 brought us our son. Working from home allowed me to see him way more than if I had been in the office like normal. Hes grown and changed so quickly and I feel blessed to have been at home for this. This picture is only a couple months old and he’s already changed so much since then.
    A4233008-7F6D-4E6C-8CC9-14AB8FA00EB1.jpg
Also this past year, my dad, stepmom, little brother and little sister moved up from the shoreline, and are now just down the road from me. And the truck received many improvements including new suspension and a new front bumper.

I wont get into the bad stuff about the year, theres a bunch, but I am thankful for the good things from 2020. Cheers to 2021.
