CarPlay/Android USB mod

If a cord hanging out of your dash isn’t for you then do this and get on with your life.
Remove panel around radio

Remove 4 10mm securing radio. You can leave radio in. You just need to pull it out a bit to get A/C controls out.

Remove 1 10mm from lower dash trim and unsnap right side. It only needs to come out enough to clear A/C controls.


Unsnap A/C controls and reach behind to push out USB.

Disconnect USB from housing

Snap housing back into dash.

Unsnap center console just enough to get cord through.

Run whatever cord you’re using behind dash and up through unsnapped center console. I used this cord for my old ass iPhone.

Then put everything back together in reverse order. Leave as much cable as you like hanging out. Mine looks tight but is easy to plug and unplug.
