    When the cover is folded, the remaining latch claws on the front-most panel aren't secure enough to keep the whole assembly on the truck with vibrations and wind. Extang does the same thing with the Encore tonneau.

    You mean the one's at mid fold? I assume they are there in case the rear isn't properly secured. That will hold the cover in place instead of the wind possibly lifting it up/off.
