Haven't been able to find any details so I figure it's time to ask to forum directly. Has anyone had issues running Firestone airbags with daystar cradles on a lifted Tacoma? I've seen non-lifted applications and obviously there's no problems. Wondering if I'll run into issues on this type of air setup on a modified rear end. For reference, I'll be running Deaver J66s, about 1-1.5 inch lift in the rear. Thanks in advance, TW!

I've been running Ride-Rites with Daystars on OME Dakars since 2012 with no issues. Be sure to plumb the air-bags separately.

No issues. Running Dakar leaf packs, Daystar cradles. I think it is a nice system. Since the bottom of the bags are no longer attached to the axle, they float. No chance of putting a lot of stress on the bag when the suspension unloads.

The daystar cradles really need some lift to work right as-is.
On my (unlifted) rear-end truck, there is 'insufficient' uptravel due to the cradle thickness.
I am going to make a new cradle mount to lower them down some if I ever get around to it...

J66s and air bags seems a strange combo. J66s are for designed for minimal weight desert trucks. Air bags are for stabilizing lots of weight. What are your intended uses for the truck?

I agree 100%. I removed my air bags from my stock truck cause of the ride. I'll put them back once i lift the truck.

Thanks for all the feedback everyone. I appreciate it.

@hoarder23 - I like the small amount of lift as well as the flex that J66s provide. I don't plan on adding any permanent weight in the rear aside from a low profile tonneau cover. The air bags are there to provide a cushy ride, address the taco lean, and level out the rear on the one or two days a year I am carrying a heavy load (camp, hauling large objects, etc.)

Have you seen this thread https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/avoid-deavers-j66.331776/

The J66s will be overloaded by the tonneau cover, especially with the double cab. The U402 Stage 1 would probably be a better option for you. Worry less about the amount of lift and pay more attention to how you will actually use your truck. You fill the bed up for a camping trip you will be riding on the bump stops.
