Jamison's a horrible option! Woodford Reserve is a better option.

Be that as it may, when it's your only option, you do what you have to do.

I make more power off running an E30/91 blend than 91 or 93 ethanol free. Ethanol free is nice for some things but isn't some magic gas.

I have tested every single grade and blend available here in FL with my previous vehicle (13 Grand Cherokee) and ethanol free worked great for long road trips it would give me better MPGs, but was not worth the $ for my daily commute, and then I would run E85 for two gas tanks every 3 months to clean up the system real good, but mpg would go to the ground.

For the tacoma, I cant do the E85 so Ill go to traditional fuel injector cleaners and stuff every 3 months but I did try the ethanol free, and i did not see any improvements and my nose told me the taco was running a lil rich.. so I have not touched it again...

I run pure ethanol, gasoline is not safe to drink.

The distinction between alcohol and ethanol is pretty simple. Ethanol, or ethyl alcohol, is the only type of alcohol that you can drink without seriously harming yourself, and then only if it hasn't been denatured or doesn't contain toxic impurities. Ethanol is sometimes called grain alcohol because it is the main type of alcohol produced by grain fermentation.

I hope this helped clear up any confusion you may have had.

On the other hand ... The less corn used for gas ... Frees up more corn to make taco shells out of. I'll always vote on the side of more tacos ..

I tried an experiment when I got my 2020 2.7 in August. To be as fair as possible, I drove the truck on cruise control about 90% of the time. Letting the computer figure out best bang-for-the-buck with it figuring out the best compromise for MPG and power.
The first 3 tanks I ran on 87 0ctane 10% Ethanol. Recorded the MPG's on every tank.
Then the next three tanks I ran 92 Octane Ethanol-free ... Recorded the MPG's ....
The results were ... Never any noticeable power gain (Which I wasn't expecting anyway) with the higher Octane Ethanol-free stuff, but did get 1.5 miles better MPG.
At the time I write this as I just filled up this morning, Current gas prices here in Northern ID. ... Reg (Ethanol) gas is $2.05 a gallon.
The higher octane non-ethanol stuff is $3.25 a gallon (And there's only one place close that sells it) ....
So it's not cost efficient at all running the high-priced stuff.
On the other hand .. A lot of the stuff I've been reading about the fuel pump recalls on the previous few years is because the ethanol is messing up the impeller on the pump. Which might be a consideration for those with Tacos 2-3-4 years old. My truck was right on the cusp of whatever change Toyota made to fix that prob... And the dealer-lady I bought my truck from ran my VIN and assured me that my rig was not on the recall list for the fuel pump, so I assume I'm OK so far as that.
In all actuality, the only reason guys here buy the non-ethanol stuff is to run in their Chainsaws/ATV's/Snowmobiles/Generators .. That were all made before they started putting corn juice in gas. The ethanol will rot and eat up the fuel lines and carb gaskets/O-rings in those machines.

No gasoline producer would be supplying ethanol blends anywhere in the US if it wasn't forced to by law.
