i use the widest angle tip, im sure color and angles vary between brands, but a good car wash soap and spray in winter is def nice. My garage spigot is plumbed into our home so it uses our water softener which is a plus for water spots

I've done this plenty of times to get soap off my hands. What do you think it's going to do? Cut off your hand? Lol. It's 1600psi. Not a crack on a submarine 10,000 leagues under the sea. And it's not like I told him to exfoliate his eyeballs with it.

Here's a warning for our friend then.

Warning: Do not drink from pressure washer, do not point at eyeballs or insert into other bodily orifices.

Yeah i've def washed my feet and hands with water coming from a pressure washer, as long as its the widest angle, you're fine. Now i certainly wouldn't recommend spraying your car or anyone with a zero degree, but nothing wrong with the wide.

Just me, but i've never used a pressure washer on any vehicle. I'll wet the truck down with a garden hose wait till it soaks in all the crap then hose the heavy stuff off. Only then i would soap it up and clean the rest off.

I wish I had a spigot in the garage with soft water, I have to run a hose in the house and use an adapter to the kitchen sink (usually when the wife is out :)), but soft water makes a big difference in both the foam from foam cannon and water spots. And a benefit from a fresh coat of wax is after a wash, I take the tip off the washer and "pool" the water drops and they blow right off with the leaf blower.

SSO hybrid bumper, Warn winch, RCI skid trilogy, RRW sliders, everything in the cheap/free mods thread, and of course the frame recall work.
Works fine if all you do is cruise the mall, but if you hit trails and try water crossings or mud bogs then you need to pressure wash it off. I've had so much mud and wet leaves in the skids and all over the body that it compressed the suspension down to where coils were touching. The only thing you can do is a river crossing or two, then pressure wash the sucker. Last month I had a full wheelbarrow of mud to clean off the driveway when I was done washing her!

Sorry, messed my reply up. Color of tip and angle of spray is pretty standard.
