Adding the Deaver Expedition stage 3 (up to 1,000 lbs) leaf pack and want to know if anyone has experience adding them with the trd pro fox shocks.

Do they accompany each other well or will the shocks get over extended?

I need a higher weight limit and my plan is to add the Deavers in the back and shims in the front to accommodate 33’s.

I’m starting to sag with Prinsu rack (plus accessories, CBI bed rack, Decked drawer system, Rotopax and accessories etc. Front and rear bumper coming in the near future.

People have told me TRD Fox is crap and others have told me they are some of the best Fox has to offer should I sell them (the car is brand new 2021) and go for kings or keep going?

No hate please just need some advice from veterans.

    Thanks!

Whoever told you those are the best fox offers doesn’t know his ass from a hole in the wall. Just look up 2.5 factory series with coil overs with dsc. those aren’t even the top notch and they’re night and day better than the trd pro fox set up.

Curious if you ended up putting the Deavers on and keeping the TRD Fox suspension. I’m considering the same move.

Ordered up Deaver Stage 2 Expedition, slapped them babies on with my stock TRD Pro Fox suspension. Lots of rake. Front center bumper and winch around 200lbs. Have the Eibach TRD Pro spring upgrade and Total Chaos UCAs going on in a few days along with 33s.

I would think carefully about this move. I literally just sold my Deaver Stage 3s today after replacing them with Stage 2s. This was AFTER upgrading my stock TRD PROs to Accutunes Stage 4a lift kit (Fox 2.5 DSCs, 650lb coils). Even with the stage 2s, I have a slight rake despite a good deal of weight which includes: RSI Canopy, Prinsu Rack, 150lb RTT, 4 tires in my bed. My plan is to wait for my HC bumper to arrive and decide if I need to take my truck to Deaver to recalibrate the leaf packs.

With your stock TRD Pros, you will not be happy with the amount of rake! As the previous post showed, even Stage 2s with the factory TRD Pro suspensions create a fairly aggressive rake!

Driveway is sloped. I have 5 tires inside the canopy and a wheel. Hopefully my dual swing out bumper and spare will balance out once I remove all the weight. Otherwise, I plan on visiting Deaver.

You will. The HC and all your extras will probably be too much in the long run. My stage II's sagged about 1.5 inches.

Also the previous post you mention with lots of rake is due to the fact that Deavers are designed for 3" of lift.

Appreciate your input. I know this sounds crazy.. but I can't wait to bring my rear back down with my HC bumper and additional weight.

Previous post was with Deaver Stage 3s. What is pictured is with Stage 2s. With all that weight, I still have a slight rake.

Stage 3, stock TRD OR rear shocks (2.5 fox back ordered) front 2.5 fox no spacers on 33”. No contact offroad with the 2020 trd wheels. Rear shocks are mushy for sure but holding.

Well, you are supposed to, the rear is 3", you are supposed to adjust front preload to about 2-2.5" of lift. While you might like reducing the rake you are doing so at the expense of the packs integrity, overloading them will only have them break down or fail faster

Front is at 2.5, shock measures 21”. Maybe it’s because of Accutune’s Tundra shocks in the rear? ‍♂️

Yes, BFG KO2’s 285/75/16 and I did get a slight body mount rub on the driver side this weekend in a hard left on a big bump.
