I only notice the drone on the highway when I'm doing 60-65mph (~1500rpms on an automatic). Once I hit north of 70 (around 2000rpms) it goes away which is a shame because I get amazing mileage at 65 and it starts going downhill at 70 and even worse at 75 (2020 Pro owner).

I'm torn about trading it because it sounds amazing on start up and around town, it only sucks on long road trips. It seems odd to me that Toyota did this because I've had all kinds of sports cars with aftermarket exhausts and they were way louder with no drone at all.

First time I test drove it I noticed the low tone drone (Coming from a 4runner). It’s not horrible, and if you’re listening to anything on your entertainment system you probably would notice it. Seems like a silly add on for a vehicle designed for off road use, and my guess is they just through every available option at the truck in order to raise the MSRP
