Anyone do the LED interior lighting upgrade? Is it worth it? easy to do? Can i get just the dome light or do I need the entire kit?

There are several threads on this. Search and you will find. I used Precision LED with no regrets

Friend did it on his SR, found it to be too bright with the entire kit, he no like it. And i thought it was kind of blinding. I like the oem mood lighting that our trucks have myself lol

Depends on the kit. Many seem to want to brighten it, but I'm in your boat. I just wanted a whiter version of stock. So I got a $25 Amazon kit and it did the trick for me.

What are you looking for? Brighter or just a whiter version of stock?

I bought the dome and map lights from Diode Dynamics. You can choose the output level and color temperature of the LEDs to suit your preference. I went with the warm white so it would be a little softer. So far I like them.

Yes $20 kit off Amazon was worth it. It’s very easy.

Like others, I did the $20 kit on Amazon. It does end up making it pretty bright, but that’s kinda the point. Haha.

Definitely makes a huge difference. I prefer the white look of the LEDs over the yellow stock bulbs.

I’m sure there are better kits out there, but is it worth the price difference? That I could not tell you.

I bought a $15 kit from Amazon but ended up not liking the look with the OEM diffusers for the map and dome light. Instead, I forked out the money for the Meso lights. They are bright but with two young kids in the back, it helps a ton.

I bought these on Amazon and they're very good. The installation is very easy, though I was not able to get my hand behind the bumper cap for the license plate lights, everything else was quick and easy.

If you're worried about it being too bright you could just replace the dome light only, or just swap back to stock for any that bug you.
