I have just purchased a 2021 dc. The backseats didn’t come with straps to lift the cushion you sit on. The dealership showed me two others that didn’t have them either. there is a threaded port for the bolt to install it. I can’t find a place to purchase nor have I heard anybody else talking about it.

I don’t believe they have them. You simply pull up on the seat from the side. The only straps are on the top of the seat back. These release the latch that holds the back in place.

Did your 2020 come with them? The 2018 dc TRD I traded came with them.

Toyota likely saved $0.00002 per unit by not installing them. It’s called value engineering.

That and “just in time delivery” are the biggest lies told in this world.

There’s no “value” to the end user in removing a feature. And just in time delivery is doublespeak for always late. Again to the detriment of the end user.

Reminds me of when they removed the cargo net from inside the center console of the 2G.

That's such a dumb, dumb feature to remove. The Covercraft Seat Covers I have on my rear seats have a cutout for them to boot.

I can confirm they didn’t come on the 2020. Flip those seats a lot to get to the stuff I have underneath. Never felt like I needed straps to accomplish it

Big nothing burger, but prepare for a 80 page thread on how these little straps were needed to lift a seat feather light cushion. Between people wanting grab handles and seat straps I wonder what the current health status is a 3rd genner is

Well the average Tacoma buyer I think is like 55+ Or At least in my area. Wonder how cool those 18 year old rich Cali kids feel now

Well with everything being shutdown in CA the toy fire sales should ramp up in 2021. Jr. Chad's Pro is going to be the first to go

Except that with everything shut down lots of potential buyers are out of the market.

Maybe someone working for a dealer can comment on current sales volume.
