I've noticed every time theres a heavy frost on my truck when i start it first thing in the morning the yellow pre collision led on the dash comes on. After the truck warms up, a few minutes later its off, and doesn't come back till the next time theres a heavy frost again. Wondering if its a normal happening under those circumstances?

Yeah that’s normal, the frost cover the sensor in the front emblem and can’t see so it shuts it down until it can. The joys of living in cold states

Mine does it too...I was thinking it was frost on the windshield interfering with the camera.

Per the manual, you may receive this error under the following conditions:
    1. When the radar sensor or camera sensor or the area around either sensor is hot, such as in the sun
    2. When the radar sensor or camera sensor or the area around either sensor is cold, such as in an extremely cold environment
    3. When the radar sensor or front grille emblem is dirty or covered with snow, etc.
    4. When the part of the windshield in front of the camera sensor is fogged up or covered with condensation or ice (Defogging the windshield: P. 334, 341)
    5. If the camera sensor is obstructed, such as when the hood is open or a sticker is attached to the windshield near the camera sensor
