PRP Center Console Cover Doesn’t Fit???

2021 Voodoo Blue TRD Premium Sport

Hey everyone. I I recently ordered a center console cover for my 2021 Tacoma that’s made by PRP. I tried for a solid 30-45 minutes and cannot get this damned thing to slip over the back of the console lid. Anyone ever installed one and have any tips? I even went as far as to take the lid off and putting the cover on to “stretch” it out a bit, but once the lid is installed back on the console the back of the cover will not go down in the gap/around the bottom edges.
