I own a 211. Only complaint I have is that it doesn’t have a digital read out like the Miller 252 I’m used to, but that’s just me being picky with my settings. It’s a solid machine and would recommend

For learning how to weld and doing any fabrication on a truck a tig machine is going to be a nightmare

Picked up two hole saws for $11 each and tested it out on some scrap. This thing cuts fine, but the shaft has the tiniest bit of wobble to it. Not enough to matter though. With a little deburring, she’s ready to weld. Overall, I’m happy with the purchase. I don’t know why I bothered trying to work with round tube without one. This thing is too easy.

The pricks I work with (friends) love to walk by your machine when it's idling and spin the dials and screw with you settings. I can't remember what was reading on a DRO, but have no issue remembering where my needle was resting on a plain old rheastat.

I use the HF notcher, it needed a little shimming for good alignment but it works identical to yours. For a whole $45(?) I like it for what I need.

I’d thought about that but heard so many mixed things on it. I didn’t want to have to shim anything which is why I aimed for a middle of the pack notcher. I didn’t want to cause myself more frustration dicking around with it.

It was the 240. Used it again today.

2" 1/4" wall tubing welded to 1/2" plate. Was very nice to weld. Absolutely no chance of burn thru.PXL_20210102_155935880.jpg PXL_20210102_155842776.jpg

Trust me I know trigger pullers who could burn through quite easy with no clue why.

1/2" plate gotta be some weight there.

Oh, yeah! Each plate is #640. Only $550 each.

I got an extra plate. Shipping might be a deal breaker. Bwahaha!

Silicone bronze uses a lower temp for tig which makes it easier to use for sheet metal.... and I’d say the biggest reason is because it has the ability to flex a little which helps reduce cracking on sheet metal joints

Yeah we had a dedicated drill press and bolted it to the flat. I guess you could take off the other part and bolt it to a table or vise and use it that way too? Nice piece tho.

The one listed above from Amazon is a lot better. I have both and by far like the Amazon one.
