    Hi All,

Long time Tundra/Sequoia owner and recently helped my 19yo get a 2016 TRD Sport. We noticed that on the climate control unit the backlighting doesn't work. Everything else works, it's only the lighting that is broken. I have confirmed that the problem is within the climate control unit itself. My neighbor has a 2020 TRD OffRoad and we swapped our climate control units and his worked in mine and vice-versa. (As an aside his climate control unit also showed celsius since our truck is canadian).

If you look at the attached pic you'll see that the Engine start/stop and 4wd backlights work but not the AC controls, heated seats, hazard lights etc...

I've taken the unit apart and don't see anything obviously wrong. The backlights are integrated directly in the circuit board. Unfortunately Toyota only sells the entire cluster and not just the circuit board. Curious if anyone else has experienced this. I search TW but only found folks that had a fuse blown etc.

    Any input greatly appreciated!

    thanks

Do you have any salvage yards around? Maybe you can get the module for far less.

I actually just ordered a salvaged one from eBay. Just really curious about what/why something like that would go bad.
