Transmission popping sound

    I saw on a thread that when someone starts on a hill and rolls backwards when they hit the accelerator the transmission snaps and pops. My 17 Tacoma 4wd TRD does this too. It doesn’t at all feel or sounds like the brakes. It sounds like gears popping. Anybody else experience this?

    It’s the traction control/abs system. Totally normal.

    It sounds like grinding and popping.
