Forgot to post this, found it on 109 in Medway. It’s a 2003, 4wd, 150k miles, not mine, I know nothing else about it. $6,500.

Yeah, that’s the one. Happened to be stopped at the light and snapped a pic. If the underside is in good shape, that’s not a terrible deal.

As stated above, the used market is inflated right now, I bet it’s worth comparing new and used.

Oh and we are talking a 4Runner, how much do you think it would depreciate that first couple years? I’m not sure they hold value like the tacos have been, but I bet it’s still pretty good.

i've done well on the couple that i've sold, but definitely even stronger right now. one of my customers took in a 2019 srf premium the other day, they texted me asking if i wanted it. it sold the next day.

ya my tacos have always been decent trades, keeps me in the brand.

We picked up a used 18 limited runner early this year, I keep debating selling just to see if I can break even after driving it cross country. But the wife is growing to like it. Might be the super charger, maybe the kick ass aftermarket sound system, the leveling kit, wheels...or the fact it drives nice.

    Why trade versus sell though?

Truth. The one time I traded was because I wanted no part of risking the old truck coming back to me ever.

Remind me what is the credit per $1000 they give in trade?

In Maine every dollar in trade offsets the same in the sale. So if you get 5k for your trade, that’s 5k you don’t pay sales tax on.

    In mass it's 6.25% I think.

    Yup what about RI?

I traded the Colorado I had before, might have got $1500 more privately but it was worth that to not have it come back at me.

Maine is 5.5%. On my last trade in, I was debating trying to sell, not worth the hassle that time.

Last time we bought a vehicle was summer 2019, Cupcake's 2014 Rav4. Her 2005 was probably going to get $600 tops so not even worth trying to trade it.

Gubment's still getting their money in NH, just doing it through different means. They're still getting their money out of you, don't worry.
