All I know is it hasn't been him from day 1 which is why I've mostly ignored all his posts.

I learned to drive in that car.... got my license at 16 in that car. Then it wasn't mine, my mom drove it and I got to take it out occasionally. Then my dad wrecked the oldsmobile 4 door sedan. He needed to get to work. Mom gave him my keys. He was approaching a light that turned red on him. He locked up the brakes and slid sideways, only to be broadsided by a old Cadillac.
I really got to drive it twice....
1st time I opened it up.... doing 95, speedometer rising quickly, going up hill and the pedal was only half way too the floor. Plenty of horses left in the stable. Blew a radiator line, started over heating. 2nd time I drove it was was to school and the last time.
The last I purchased it from was just trying to get rid of it. Turns out her ex husband she took it from was a race care driver. The brakes had been upgraded and the 351 cleavland v8 had been bored to a bigger piston/cylinder.
It was a blast to drive. After my dad got broadsided, it bent the frame and my mom sold the entire car for 350$.

I was so pissed.... the engine alone was worth 3k and not a fucking thing wrong with it.
I wanted to keep the engine and figure out how to to stick into a Honda crx rear engine direct drive

 

Well these were about a 12 step process so we'll see how long they last. My technique needs improvement but I'm happy with it as long as they stop breaking on me.

All I can say is y'all with the Kool cars as your first car; y'all suck !!

 

I had a pontiac persian followed up by a Nissan pickup. Nothing cool about either of those.
