I’d get one and replace it anyways, the original Allen design is god awful IMO, too shallow. Hope you don’t have the headache I had with mine.

I broke my old tensioner the other day. Could you send me some info on where you got your replacement part?

Is it bad that all I can think of is how many mods I could have done with that money???

... Like re-gear and front locker...

I get to go shopping for carpet tomorrow

I had by bearing die and two balls were missing and most the abs wheel. Just ground down to a fine powder.

hmm I can't quite remember that..

    maybe though.

We never found any of the balls. Was a lot of sludge though. Plus the ABS sensor was basically worn down to nothing.

Isn't that pic of a 2nd gen front wheel bearing? A true apples to turds comparison right there...

Oil and plug. Pretty much everywhere.

When I left camp and limped to grand junction it was one of the tense drives of my life the noises it was making. It was not fun.

Well the other difference here is front bearings are sealed with no "access" I guess for oil when the seals go bad haha So naturally they will fail from heat first and crumble vs just grinding away while being lubed up by the oil.

Body work. I dont mess with that shit. Some kid hit her and had no license or insurance.

My rear locker is still not worki g and since the shop said it was good to go, they are pulling it apart on there dime. No if the locker is toast, then thats on me.

Very good idea or you will hate your life.

Been working on remaking the base for my bed rack since it was originally made for a second gen tacoma. Profile is much cleaner now, and the way it is designed it will keep the bed more square and likely strengthen it.

The biggest purpose is to create a better side profile since the second gens have a taper that the first gens do not.

Some good conversations with @6 gearT444E and @planters15 have me rethinking a fast back style support that goes to the end of the bed. a notched straight tube would be easiest, but something with a little bit of a bend might be nicer.

I'll likely add that later though, current priority is finish welding the rack, cut out the center bars for what I am thinking about for my rack/dual sport project, and welding that all up.

So good news is that the diff did end up being totally fine, however the guy said he found two of the missing ball bearings at the bottom of the diff, so I'm very fortunate they didn't chew up the gears!

I installed a new OEM washer fluid reservoir, cleaned the plastic shield that protects the reservoir before reinstalling that and then replaced the interior rear view mirror with a clean used one. Cleaned and Lubricated the hood release latch and lubricated both door hinges.

So i have the plastic drop in bed liner. Removed it once and the bed looks solid. No rust, so i put it back on. Im getting a nasty rumble from the bedliner since i had the crawl box crossmember done with poly mounts. Think its a good move to ditch the bedliner? I know i should raptor line it or bed line it. But for the time being???
