Hi - Is anyone on TW using this FEMCO or Valvo Max Drain valves? Both seem very well built with a solid valve AND a cover to keep gunk out, but also as a safeguard against leaks...

This design allows these to be Smaller than the Fumoto - so they do not extend as low and represent a smaller target in case of a projectile, or lower profile in case you smoosh your bash plate.

The shape and design might make it less susceptible to breakage in case of bash - I believe that in beyond the additional room before contact, this might deform more than the Fumoto before breaking.

EDIT: AND both of these both come with a screw-in fitting +hose for super clean draining...

Looking at my first oil change soon (happening around 1,200 mi), so I will replace the drain plug with one of these. I am leaning towards the FEMCO as it is smaller / lower profile. (12mm is what sticks out of the pan)..

Can someone also confirm the M12 x 1.25 Diameter / thread?

IF so - please share your feedback!

I have always used Fumoto but I installed the Femco last time I changed the oil. It's really nice, I admired it for a while as I was installing it. The way it works, I don't think much can go wrong with it.

I'm dreaming of being able to connect the drain hose through the hole in the ARB skid plate, and doing a reacharound from the top side to change the filter so I don't have to remove the skid. I'll probably have to break my forearm right half in two to pull it off!

+1 for the Fumoto, also have a short piece of rubber tube on the end to clear my skid plate. Reach around the side, and bam.

When u change the oil hot, it can be a godsend. Also, with the stahlbus (or others) the pan reaches the filter and plug at the same time. Not too much time wasted, if it all.

I get the oil draining, rotate the tires, grease the prop shaft, check all the fluids and air filter and cabin air filter, check the air in the spare, replace the oil filter, and by then, the oil should be done draining.

Don't bother. You'll still get oil on your glove from changing the filter...
