Did you go with the maxx or another tire? Any pics from the front or rear of the truck? Thanks!

I read thru as many of the recent pages as I could, but figured posting would help me get a quicker answer.
Thinking about doing 255/80R17 on 17x7 stock wheel. Currently no lift, but would probably do Bilstein or OME 2" all around at the same time. Anyone running anything similar and willing to share pictures or experiences with rubbing?

    Appreciate all the info,

I run a 2.5 in lift on bilstein 5100s and a progressive add a leaf and get no rubbing with falken wildpeaks that are 255/80/17. Just removed the front mud flaps to ensure they wouldn't rub and things have been good.

I went with Bridgestone Blizzaks. Dont love the look tbh as they arent aggressive but they are top rated for ice and wet conditions which we need here in Ontario

hey man I was asking the same 2 weeks ago lol lucky some of these guys didn't start ripping on you for not reading. 175 pages:p
I did 255/75/17 stock rims but im lifted with bilsteins and one 887 and the icon all in rear. No rubbing not even close tbh so you should be fine doing the 80's. I really considered it but my other tires are a 32 and these are 32 so I figured to stay about the same instead of jumping sizes anymore

Any recommendations for UCAs to use if I want to push the caster up after lifting and still keep the option of 255/85R16? I am thinking only ~2" and JBA high caster seemed like an easy answer for nice alignment, but I see that would prevent going to 255/85R16 unless I also got different wheels (I don't like the idea of spacers) also per JBA:
    • LT255/85R16 (33.10" x 10") tire on 16 x 8 wheel, -12mm offset (4" backspace)

I’m probably in the same boat. I’m not really 100% sure how to read the descriptions JBA posted for the tire size. I think it means those are the mins that will work. I have and r16 -12 offset wheel that I’ll be putting a 255/85s on. I’m looking at the SPC and JBAs as well. Looking to see what answers you get too.

Those would still fit without rubbing even without the lift.

Not sure if this is a good thread for this- but I don’t want to start and unnecessary one either.

So, I’m making the jump to 285/75/17’s in the spring. I’m wondering what I can sell my old wheels/ tires for. Ballpark suggestions would be great.

255/85/16 BFG Mud terrains, I’d say about 50% tread left. Tires are mounted and balanced and I’m looking to sell all four at once, rims included.

what do you guys think is a fair price?

    No TPMS though.

This is going to be highly dependent on what wheels they are and what the condition of the wheels are in. Some steelies are gonna be worth a whole lot less than a set of TE37's...
