I bought this to swap out all my fluids on recently purchased Tacoma. It appears to be the right thing, but I got paranoid after reading a few threads. I'm not trying to cheap out or anything, though I don't want to spring for Royal Purple at $20+ a quart.

This stuff is full synthetic 75-90, GL-5, and appears to have no friction modifiers ("can be used for make-up of limit slip ....").

    Am I good to go?

Well, I went with it. Hopefully it works out. A simple job except for getting the oil into the diffs. Front diff has no clearance for the bottle and the rear lets you get about half out of a bottle. I should have planned ahead and gotten a proper pump. The one I have doesn't fit into the gear lube jugs. Ended up cutting part of the top off to get it to fit.

    You're fine with that lube.

You are fine. A regular cab 4x4 should have the “open” diff, no LS additive needed.
