February 2019 I was looking for a truck for work and was drawn to the Tacoma’s I was jumping between a Tacoma or a Chevy Colorado zr2 but ended up making a decision on purchasing a Toyota Tacoma. I was looking at dealerships around me but none of them had the color I wanted which was a quicksand Tacoma

One day I decided to give it a shot to look through a private seller hoping I would find a diamond in the rough... surprisingly there was one that had everything I wanted. I contacted the seller and we met up and made the deal happen.

now this is the start of YotalRealMVP’s journey

the previous owner had the following installed:

    2” spacer/block lift
Icon alphas 17x8.5 +0 offset sitting on
    285/70/17
    hidden light bar
    Aftermarket fog lights

the week I got it I ended up stretching her legs and having fun with her

A month goes by and saw a post on a Facebook group with someone doing a viper cut on their stock Tacoma bumper... I really liked it because it reminded me of the zr2 front bumper and also allowed for better ground clearance. At first I was hesitant at cutting a truck I just got, but I said “what the heck! Let’s go for it.”

Getting tired of the spacer/block I needed something to replace it and ended up going with 5100’s front and rear With an icon 3 Leaf AAL . For the front I decided to run a 5100 with OME 885 that I scored from TW.[IMG]

A couple months go by, and I’m at my job site. As I was about to enter the field I realized I didn’t have my mask on which was mandatory due to covid-19. I began to head back to my truck and someone walks near it and looks at me saying, “is this your truck?” I reply saying, “yes it is.” He replies back saying, “I hit it.” I thought he was joking. Luckily it wasn’t too bad... but it did give me a reason to tell my wife I needed a new front bumper
    [IMG]

I ended up popping it out and driving it in the meantime, until my bumper came in....

Patiently waiting for 6 months I finally received my bumper. I Went ahead and started cutting up my stock bumper, Again very hesitant lol.

    (excuse the bed hair lol.)

Finally after all that cutting I finally finished installing the C4 Hybrid steel bumper paired with Darkdefence DDS3 spot/flood lights

    October 18 2020 Update:

Unfortunately the Bistein 5100 I previously bought weren't compatible with the Taco. I ended up finding a buyer for them and pulled the trigger on Icon 2.5 w/ resi and Dirt King UCA.

Currently the Taco sits at a 3" lift and I'm honestly enjoying the difference in the ride. compared to the Stock shock with spacers... definitely Night and Day difference.

Along with the New suspension I found a killer deal locally on an RCI mid height bedrack just in time for my Colorado trip.

a week later I added a Pittman RTT and a Tikal 7ft awning.

    November 30, 2020 Update:

So far YotaRealMVP is coming along nicely...

Was able to take a few trips to Colorado, Zion Utah, and Mojave Road with this set up.

After our trip to Colorado, a few weeks later we found out we are expecting a little one. So, I decided to change my whole set up. Here is how it currently sits, but I promise you it wont be like this for long.

    UPDATE: August 4, 2021

Its been a while since I updated you all on the build. As you can see previously I swapped out my whole setup and went a new route with our new baby girl who just entered this world.

Here is how the new setup officially looks.

soon after I decided to step it up a knotch and jump to 35's, and I must say... they look amazing.

a month later I decided to switch things up a bit, I wanted a different approach and wanted to murder out my truck. looking and shopping around different vinyl wrap shops and being quoted $3000+ (which is a reasonable price.) I thought what the heck, ill give it a shot and wrap my own truck. and so I did...

    Ladies and gentlemen...

I present to you... YotarealMVP v2

Because the wheels I got previously weren’t the wheels I originally wanted I decided that since my tires were soon to be due I would pick up a set of the wheels I wanted and sell the current ones I have. Surprisingly I found a killer deal locally from me and had to jump on them.

August 7, 2021 Finally I got them mounted. I decided to run a 1.25” spacer by spidertrax to give more of an aggressive stance.

Yeah the wrap looks great. I’d love to wrap it myself but it sounds difficult

to be honest, its more tedious than hard… the hardest part is the prep work. Depending on what wrap you use can determine the difficulty, but if you use Avery Dennison you should be good!
