96 t100

I hit a tree head on missing deer and had it towed home. I havent tried to start it but have checked for any leaks and there are non. The front is pushed in just enough to kiss the radiator but didn't puncture it. Is it ok to try to start it or could it jump time. The motor has no damage, I just dont want to damage anything if I start it.

 

Does the radiator fan free wheel ?

Yes it does

 

As long as everything is clear from rubbing up front , you should be good to test start. A picture of the damage would help in a situation like this .
I would hate to have you start the truck and something happens .

 

Awesome thanks so much. This truck might be old but its my baby and I have done a lot of work on it since I bought it. It makes me sick to see it sitting in my shop all crashed up. I just wanted to make sure I didn't damage more. Thanks again
