I’m pulling the trigger on a new suspension for my 2011 DCLB.

I’m looking for options for a new leaf pack. I want to be at 2” lift all around after the suspensions settles. I do plan on putting a hard cap on it in the future but for now I have a soft top installed.

I’ve been eyeing Dakars and recently saw people having success with Dobinson.

What leaf pack do you all recommend? Looking to make a decision on a complete suspension in the next week.

I’ve got OME Dakar medium and can’t recommend them.

My lift height has settled to about 2 1/4 inches out back (I have a hard shell) but after 15k the springs are flat andrequire greasing periodically to keep quiet.

They also had to be hacked up with a cutoff wheel to avoid destroying the factory shackle.

I wish I’d have went Dobinson in hindsight, and will probably be forced into purchasing if these Dakar’s stay the current course.

Thanks for the info. Sorry about your experience. What shocks/struts are you running?

Another vote for icon RXT. They ride muuuuch smoother than my previous dakars and the come with u bolts, bushings, and 3 "settings". They ship with an extra leaf and depending how you configure them dictates how much weigh/lift that provide.

I'm running dakkars mediums but I put the aal to make them HDs. My height is still just under 3 inches in the rear with 300 or more pounds in the back but they squeak like crazy that's my only problem with them.

For those running the Icon RXT leaf packs, which shocks struts and springs up front are you running? Trying to get this entire suspension build completed for about $1500 if possible. Thanks my current budget.

I'm running Kings, but that's out of budget. You're pretty limited if you decide on the RXT but you should have enough for bilstein 5100 front and rear with Old Man emu 885 coils up front. That'll give you around 2.25" lift all around.

That sounds like a great option. Any recs on where to put this together to purchase? Or should I just piece together from various places?

I'd hit up headstrong offroad. That's where I bought my icons from. Since your truck is a little older, I'd also recommend buying the front coilovers already assembled instead of reusing your existing tophats. I'm sure they're due to be replaced anyways.

I've always used and liked Alcans. Had deaver a in the past and thought the Alcans held up better with the wheeling I did.

I went with some Deaver U402s. I haven't recieved them yet but after all my research they seem to be pretty great.

Ok think I’ve got closer to a decision.

Looking to pull the trigger on ICON RTX with Bilsein 5100 all around and OME 885 coils up front.

Wheeler’s Off-road has a good price on the entire setup.

Anyone have thoughts on running this setup? Anything else I’d need to do or add to make sure I don’t get any vibes on drive train or things i need to be aware of?

I called everywhere looking for the RXT pack. I called Icon directly too. No one had them and all said a couple of months before they are available.
