    Ignorant statement at best. It's not an electric motor, it's a gas engine. It does not wait til 4600 to add power. Both of these engines are car engines. The 4.0 is the slightest bit better, but with the 3.5 extra power it a wash. Peak torque at 4k or 4.6k makes little difference.

    A good truck engine is a diesel engine.

    Tacomas used to be small, like my ranger. Thats why i said its a "heavy" truck. The engines are still v6s but with more power though.
