Hey all. Just wanted to provide a before and after look at my lift for those trying to decide what size shoes look right.
Stock, then Bilstein lift set to about 2.1” front with 2” block rear (I asked the shop to maintain the rake), then lifted with 33s on 17s.

The first and third photos look great. For some reason, the middle photo makes the tires look too small. Must be the light lol.

Yeah, the sun is behind me and low so the wheel wells are fairly illuminated. I didn’t plan the pics for consistency.

In the second picture the tires do look small. I think the 30” stock tires fit the proportions of the truck well, although lifted on 33” also looks great.

Drum roll....... NO RUBBING. The shop trimmed to avoid the rub and after a week, none. Well, I did back up into a turn out of the driveway hard as I came over the curb and it chirped. But that’s it.

the one pic has different rims...I’d think that’s the new tires (which appear bigger/look better to me) Isn’t that why the photos look funny in comparison

Go offroad and flex the suspension....street driving doesn't count

For those who asked, it's the Bilstein 6112/5160 kit with SPC UCAs, Revtek diff drop, ARB rear diff drop and 2" rear block

The wheels have a +0 offset

Is the diff drop really necessary for a 2" lift? I thought 2" lifts were considered relatively safe with minimal drawbacks.

Front dif drops are snake oil on our trucks. They tilt the dif forward by dropping the front mounts while leaving the rear mount where it is. This creates driveline angles that wouldn't be encountered otherwise.

I believe so, as well as our trusted off road center which I have used and watched them grow for close to 35 years. I listened to them as I had a front diff and rear carrier drop as well. My driveline angles are perfect but the real proff is that I have no vibration what so ever, no shakes or noises in my truck. I would tent to listen to them as they have done hundreds of Tacoma's rather than one person on here, not trying to hurt anyone's feelings. Works for me!
