Salesman tells me I can set up trip navigation on my Google 4a cell phone and have it display on the multimedia screen. How? (I'm an old dog [76] trying to learn a new trick and need step by step instructions.) I have a 2021 Tacoma TRD Sport on order.

    Welcome!
The salesmen should go over tech upon delivery. That would be the best way, to learn firsthand. Also if you have any issue, they can take care of it then and there,,, rather than having to bring it back up. Best bet- ask your salesmen to set aside a little extra time, since you're not comfortable with the tech.

To put it very simply, you need to connect your phone to the USB socket under the climate control unit. Than on your trucks screen press menu and select projection. This will project your phone screen to the trucks screen. If you enter navigation in your phone, it should show up on the screen.

There might be a more detailed description in the owners manual. Look for info under screen projection or CarPlay.

Lol. Yeah, the key is to plug it in to the USB like mentioned above. Took me forever to figure it out.

The details for How To may be under the topic of Mirroring.

Yes, needs a hard wire connection via USB to your phone to mirror.
