What is this, Is it some Cross Brace support BAR to minimize vibration.?

    Wonder what this(circled) small cross tube bar do, Is it just a cross support brace. Its rusting out, Should it really be replaced.?

    Yeah they are braces- when I installed the full skid plate set on my 19 4R those are removed. I guess the stout skid plate serves to brace the same area.
