    Story time:
    I had a friend who once took a 2x4 to the front end of his mustang on his commute to work. It thankfully missed everything critical but he obviously had to have a few things replaced. Same friend also hit 100k on the car before they had released their recommended service manual on it. He was commuting from Sacramento to Napa daily plus some other running around the did with his job at the time.
