    Backstory —
My truck began life as the title implies as my high school graduation gift. A53C8927-F80F-4FE5-87F0-BA932875FC2E.jpg
    15 Miles on the clock!
    What it replaced:

It stayed pretty close to stock for a while, save for the chrome bull bar and some steps.

Saved up between the summer, graduation gift money, and my job that I had working for my high school as a graphic designer to get my first lift in the fall of my first year of having the truck; just a block lift to clear bigger tires and some bilsteins up front.

Didn’t ride the best but man was I hooked into having a lifted truck!

The mods were still pretty slow at this point; got a real job and was trying to establish a nice savings account before really doing more. Invested in some UCAs to help with getting better alignment, nothing too much fancy. Also adopted got some vanity plates — “el taco”.

March 2019 marked the turning point for the truck. Having a “real job” for a while at this point and having received a really unexpected bonus I decided to pull the trigger on a real suspension and the arb bumper I had always wanted.

Setup was great! Finally decided to do some “real wheeling.”

Got some skid plates and rock sliders during that time.

    Then COVID...
Well like many of us I rediscovered the great outdoors this year and had a great time wheeling my truck more than I had before. And that’s really where the mods began and what gets us to how we sit now. It’s truly a cause and effect scenario.

    • Looking for something to occupy my time for a couple hours and it was on sale — trd pro grille and raptor lights.
    • Damaged my bed side and wheels on a trail; got the trd wheels I had wanted for a while and called Billy within the week...
    • Slept in my friend’s rtt for the night; started scouting Craigslist and found one within 2 weeks.
    • Spent way too much time looking at Instagram; had to get the new headlights.
    • Wanted to play amateur electrician and learn some wiring, ordered a light bar and some rock lights.
    • Saw how the tent was sagging the leafs, new leaf pack for the back.
I’ve really enjoyed this truck and I’ll never sell it; it’s been on some great road trips this year and in years before. I feel like it’s pretty dialed in at this point other than lighting and some misc things, but I said that when it had a bull bar — so who knows anymore.
