DRL/Signal problem

2013 Off road. All stock lights. A couple days ago my left turn signal started hyperflashing. So I bought a couple new bulbs and replaced. Two days later it happened again. Seems the bulb is coming loose in the socket. Whats the best fix here? Thanks.

 

Just spitballing here, but have you checked for corrosion on your bulb connectors and plugs? Also, are your new bulbs halogen and not LED?

Halogen I believe. There is a little browning on the edge of the socket housing.

 

I could throw out another couple wild guesses (bad blinker unit? fuses acting up?), but I’ll defer to people who actually know what they’re talking about.

 

Yeah I think the issue is the contacts have lost some of their "spring". Need to see how to replace the sockets.

 

The Bulb Holder is a separate item. It seems as a whole unit with the connector attached.

 

Resolved. Just had to press the bulb further in and it seats securely.

 

It's funny it took a real hard press to seat it. Can't figure how it came loose in the first place.

 

Heat, movement, cold(shrink) repeat...
